Beneficio Buena Vista

The Arrieta Barboza family story is one of those you tell with pride. For three generations, they’ve grown up among coffee trees, learning from a young age what it means to farm with true passion. Today, led by Doña María and Don Carlos, they’ve managed to pass down much more than just a farm to their children: they’ve passed down a legacy that is alive and constantly evolving.

What we love most about them is that they never stand still. The children, who are now an active part of this third generation, have stepped in with a huge drive to experiment and try out unique processes. You can really see that spark—that desire to improve with every harvest—by blending traditional methods with fresh ideas. That enthusiasm shows in the results: through hard work and dedication, they’ve managed to grow the farm and produce more coffee (fanegas) every year, proving that true tradition is about having the heart to innovate and grow together.

Dos Tazas & Beneficio Buena Vista

Our relationship with them was born from one of those happy accidents that coffee often brings. At Dos Tazas, we were searching for local producers to collaborate with, and to our surprise, Beneficio Buena Vista was right there, in a spot we had passed by countless times.

From the very first moment, we met an incredibly friendly family who opened the doors of their home to us. More than just a working relationship, it has been a learning experience: they’ve offered us their full support and taught us so much about the world of coffee from their unique perspective. This connection with the Arrieta Barboza family has shown us that coffee is much more than just a bean; it’s a tradition that brings people together and builds true friendships.
